It is not taken into consideration during the MOS selection process. If you have prior knowledge, it just makes the training process easier for you. You can get an idea on this page. A low ranking can still get you a highly desired MOS because of the way they do quality distribution. The only exceptions are going to be the Intel MOSs and some of the other low density fields.
