The island is now a mist-shrouded staging point from which the kvaldir, or "sea vrykul" as they're often known, stage attacks against Silver Covenant and Sunreavers ' ships in the waters between the island and Icecrown.
Hrothgar's Landing is the second outdoor zone added to the game in a content patch since Isle of Quel'Danas was added in patch 2.
Patch 3. Since the dead tuskarr bodies are named Slain Tualiq Villager , it is safe to assume that "Tualiq" was the name of their village on the island before the kvaldir raid. Though the whole Island could have been known as Tualiq as well. The island is most likely re named after the kvaldir who conquered it, Drottinn Hrothgar. I honestly didn't even notice it. I just found out this existed last friday too Apparently it is used for some quest chains only avaivable for those who have the "Crusader" title. Are you serious? I just rejoined the game a week ago, so didn't read the 3. I was just surprised that when I asked my guild about the island, nobody knew what I was talking about. I had to point it out to them. Your beginning to get on my nerves now, I've seen a few of your threads the past month and they all seem to be trash like this. Some of the ships where the fighting was going on, likewise I wasn't getting attacked on some but on others yes.

Comment by danroe Interesting Trivia: When doing the quest "A Return to Resting", in wich you have to return ancient Kvaldir artifacts to Kvaldir graves, 4 spirits mention the "doom swelling from the tides", "brothers awakaned" and "Kvaldir coming from the mist and fog".
These spirits were "angry" because the pirates at Scalawag Point had stolen their artifacts. You can say, the mindless slaying of Tuskarrs at Hrothgar's Landing is the pirates fault! Comment by Though it is an actual zone, it is not required for World Explorer. Comment by QFred This island zone was a Tuskarr village which was invaded by Kvaldir led by Hrothgar and all its original inhabitants slaughtered.
You have several dailies and one quest of a chain that have objectives here. Things like killing the leaders, killing X kvaldir, redemption of the tuskarr spirits, among others.
