After 1 Year, It Leaks I have had a couple of these and they work well. I usually opt for a new one because they don't really come completely clean with all the tea stains. The most recent version I purchased I had for only one year and then it started leaking on the table.
I had to put a bowl under it to ensure it didn't leak on the table. At first, a small drop or two, then it started leaking so that all the tea water was running out. It would be nice if the lifespan were a bit longer. My first one lasted for years.
I drink loose leaf tea every morning as soon as I get up. The Adagio makes it so simple. I've tried other brands, but I came back to the Adagio for it's shape and durability. Never got to use it!! I expected more durability! It's basically the Teavana thing only the screen doesn't like to come out Teavana had a teamaker you rested on top of a mug and got the "perfect cup" from. This is basically the same thing. One major difference is the former was easily broken down for cleaning.
This one? Not so much. It is so easy to use and clean up is a breeze. Leaked instead of steeped Ordered this after seeing my friend's teapot.
It would not steep the tea leaves. Water just leaked through it. For some reason, it would not hold water. Makes tea preparation fun. After first seeing this dispenser in a niche restaurant, I realized I have to have one for myself. Everything about it is easy — easy to fill, easy to add the tealeaves, easy to dispense, easy to clean.
When tea is ready, simply place it atop your cup. This will cause a valve at the bottom to release: crystal-clear tea flows down, while the mesh filter retains all the leaves with one of the best infusers on the market.
